Websites for consultants

A consultant website.

People don’t hire a consultant from a slogan. They want to know who you help, what the work involves, and how to start.

This page is for consultants who need a website. I’m a web designer, not a management consultant, and the site I build won’t pretend to be your practice.

Clients usually arrive in one of two ways: they search for the problem (“how do I sort out my books”, “someone to help with a planning application”) or they search your name after a referral. The site should answer both, in plain English, without a pile of abstract nouns.

I won’t invent results, percentages or client names. If you have a real engagement you can describe, and you’re allowed to name it, we’ll use your words. If you can’t name the client, we describe the kind of work instead.

Built for this work

What a website for consultants needs.

Who it’s for

A clear sentence on the kind of organisation or person you help, and who you don’t. That saves both of you a wasted call.

How an engagement works

What the first conversation covers, how you charge if you want that public, and what happens next.

The work, described honestly

Services in your language. No fabricated outcomes and no borrowed logos.

A way to start

A short form or a booking link for an introductory call, plus your email and phone.

About you

Background you’re happy to publish: years aren’t required, and I won’t add a number you didn’t give me.

Searches your customers type

What people type when they need a consultant.

This page is for consultants who want a website. The search it answers is “consultant website”. It is not a listing, and it does not pretend to be a consultant.

Your own customers search for something else:

  • “consultant for a specific problem”
  • “consultant near me”
  • “your name”

Clients rarely search “consultant website”. They search the problem they have, or your name after a recommendation. The site should say who you help and how to start a conversation.

A useful site names your services and the places you cover, in real text, with a proper title on each page and a phone number that works on a mobile. Your free Google Business Profile (opens in a new tab) is the other half: the listing that can show your hours, phone number and area on Google and Maps. Use the same name, address and phone number as the website. I don’t write reviews, and none of this is a promise of a position in the results.

Tips

Getting the most from it.

  • Write the services the way a client would describe the problem.
  • If you don’t publish day rates, say how someone gets a quote instead of leaving a blank.
  • Use the same name on the site, your email and your Google Business Profile if you have one.

Payment plans

Rather spread the cost?

A full website is £500. If you’d rather not pay it all at once, pick one of these plans. Every plan adds up to exactly £500, with nothing extra on top.

Plan 1

£150 up front

then £50 a month for 7 months

Total: £500

Plan 2

£100 up front

then £100 a month for 4 months

Total: £500

Plan 3

3 payments

of £166.67, £166.67 and £166.66

Total: £500

  • Monthly payments are taken automatically by card, through Stripe — nothing to remember.
  • Once it’s paid off, you choose: a £10-a-month hosting and care plan, or a full handover of your site.
  • Your own domain is extra, at around £5–£10 a year.

Note: you buy your own domain (around £5–£10 a year) — it’s yours to keep. Want to take payments? You set up your own Stripe account and I’ll connect it. The longer notes are a cheap website for a small business and a pay monthly website.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can you write case studies?

I can lay out a case study you provide. I won’t invent a client, a result or a quote. If you can’t share numbers, we leave them out.

I don’t want my phone number public.

That’s fine. A form and an email are enough. Say which you prefer on the mock-up request.

Is £500 enough for a consultancy site?

Yes for a small, clear site. If you need a large resource library, a client login or several languages, I’ll quote that separately, from around £1,200.

Will this rank for “consultant for a specific problem”, “consultant near me”, “your name”?

No. Those are searches your customers type when they want a consultant, and I can’t promise a position on Google. This page is for consultant website. On your site I will write your services and the places you cover in plain text, set a proper title on each page, and make it work on a phone. You should also set up your free Google Business Profile with the same name, address and phone number. That gives Google accurate information about the business. It is not a guarantee.

How much does it cost, and can I pay monthly?

A full website is £500, or you can spread the cost: £150 up front then £50 a month for 7 months, £100 up front then £100 a month for 4 months, or three payments of £166.67, £166.67 and £166.66. Every plan totals exactly £500, and monthly payments are taken automatically by card through Stripe. You buy your own domain separately, at around £5–£10 a year.
