£500, not a teaser
A cheap website for a small business.
If you want a cheap website for a small business in the UK, this is that offer: a custom site for £500. Not a template with a low first month and a higher price later.
What “cheap” means here
£500 is the price of the website, for a small business or an individual. It is the same price as on the pricing page. It is not a deposit against a larger bill, and it is not a monthly fee that quietly becomes the real cost.
Cheap, on this site, means a small scope done properly: pages we agree, built from scratch, working on a phone, with HTTPS, a title on every page, a contact form, and help going live. It does not mean a shared theme, stock photos of someone else’s workshop, or reviews I wrote for you.
The website is £500. You can pay it in one go, or use a payment plan: £150 up front then £50 a month for 7 months, £100 up front then £100 a month for 4 months, or three payments of £166.67, £166.67 and £166.66. Every plan totals exactly £500. Monthly payments are taken by card through Stripe. Your domain is extra, around £5–£10 a year, and you buy it so you own it. Once the site is paid for, you choose a £10-a-month hosting and care plan, or a full handover.
Who it’s for
Trades are a large part of the work, and there are pages for plumbers, electricians and the other trades. The same £500 site is also for other small businesses and for people who aren’t a trade at all.
That includes restaurants, cafés, hairdressers, beauty salons, gyms, shops, consultants, freelancers, startups and individuals. The pages differ. The price for a small site does not.
A bigger build — lots of pages, a web app, a full online shop with stock and shipping — is quoted separately, from around £1,200. I’ll tell you if what you’re describing isn’t the £500 site, before you pay anything. The mock-up is free.
What is not included
The domain is yours to buy, at around £5–£10 a year. I help you connect it. I don’t need to own the account.
After the £500 is paid, hosting and small edits are a choice: £10 a month for a care plan, or a full handover of the site. Neither is added on top of the £500 while you’re still paying for the build.
The detail of the three plans is on the pay monthly website page. The cards below are the same three.
The £500 package
What the £500 includes.
A full small-business website, built from scratch. The list is the same wherever you read it.
Custom design, built from scratch
Designed and coded around your business, not a theme shared with other companies.
Fully mobile responsive
Laid out for a phone first, so people can read it and tap to call without zooming.
Secure HTTPS
The padlock browsers expect, with no “not secure” warning.
SEO titles & descriptions
Every page gets a proper title and description, so the page says what it is about.
Contact form and links
A form that reaches you, plus your phone number, email and any links you want shown.
Stripe payment links connected, if you want them
If you take payments, you set up your own Stripe account and I’ll connect the payment links.
Help going live
I help you point your domain at the new site and check it before you send people there.
Separate from the £500
- Your domain, around £5–£10 a year. You buy it, so you own it.
- Once the site is paid for: a £10-a-month hosting and care plan, or a full handover. Your choice.
The pay monthly plans all total £500. A plain-English note on what the cheap website includes is here if you want the longer version.
Payment plans
Rather spread the cost?
A full website is £500. If you’d rather not pay it all at once, pick one of these plans. Every plan adds up to exactly £500, with nothing extra on top.
Plan 1
£150 up front
then £50 a month for 7 months
Total: £500
Plan 2
£100 up front
then £100 a month for 4 months
Total: £500
Plan 3
3 payments
of £166.67, £166.67 and £166.66
Total: £500
- Monthly payments are taken automatically by card, through Stripe — nothing to remember.
- Once it’s paid off, you choose: a £10-a-month hosting and care plan, or a full handover of your site.
- Your own domain is extra, at around £5–£10 a year.
These are the same plans as on the pricing page.
FAQ
Common questions.
Is £500 the full price?
Yes, for the small-business website. Payment plans split that same £500. They don’t add interest on top. Your domain, at around £5–£10 a year, is separate.
Why is a template sometimes advertised for less?
Introductory prices often leave you to do the writing, the layout and the launch yourself, on a theme other businesses are using. This £500 includes me designing and building the site. It isn’t the cheapest number on the internet. It is a finished small site at a fixed price.
Can any kind of business use this?
Any small business or individual who needs a modest site. If the project is really a product, a large shop or a multi-location brand, I’ll quote it rather than force it into £500.
